I really do not trust Miami starter Trevor Richards in this matchup, as I don't think he's very good. I just don't like paying such a heavy price on the Padres as a road favorite here. Instead I like the Over, as Richards will give up runs, and while Paddack is a much better pitcher, when he does allow contact, it tends to be hard contact.

This is pretty simple for me. Arizona starter Robbie Ray gets a lot of strikeouts, but he walks way too many hitters for me to trust him as a road favorite. Particularly against a good offense in a hitter-friendly park.

Josh James started three games for the Astros last September, but he's been in the bullpen all season long, and he's starting tonight as an emergency starter since Brad Peacock was scratched. The Astros will be playing it by ear, and on the road against an Angels offense that rarely strikes out and has been red hot since the break, I like the value on the home team here.

Nothing like a hot summer night at Wrigley Field with the wind blowing directly out to centerfield. Kyle Hendricks has struggled with his command since returning from injury, and even if he's better tonight, and Luis Castillo pitches well, Wrigley is a Little League field in these weather conditions.

It's not exactly a battle of the titans on the mound in this game, but neither of these offenses are very potent, and while neither pitcher piles up strikeouts, they don't walk many, either. This total is too low.
